Why use Microsoft Reader for online books?

Because you can...
  • Download Microsoft Reader software free.
  • Download many books free.
  • Save the e-books on your computer.
  • Customize font size for reading ease.
  • Search the text of e-books for names, terms, etc.
  • Write and save online margin notes.
  • Load MS Reader e-books onto hand-held PCs.
  • Listen to MS ebooks with free text-to-speech software.
  • Search by title among MS Reader e-books you have on your computer.
  • Easily convert Word files to ebooks.
But...
  • Using Internet Explorer or some other browser, you can read many online books free on the Web. The Web (HTML) format does not allow you to save, manipulate and customize the text in the ways MS Reader does.
  • MS Reader is NOT for use with library-owned books, such as NetLibrary ebooks, since such books cannot be kept permanently on your computer.
